Playing in front of a full house two to four times a week teaches you things a practice room can't. What carries. What disappears in a mix. When to play less. Most of what I know about arrangement came from that, not from theory.

Beyond performing, I work as a producer, musical director, composer and arranger — building records from the first idea, directing bands, and writing parts for the players who will actually perform them.
